CONCERT (CONsortium on Core Electronic Resources in Taiwan) is a nonprofit consortium of 200 colleges, universities and research /government organizations. It was officially launched in 1998 and now is conducted by the Science and Technology Policy Research and Information Center (STPI).

Our Mission is to deliver value to CONCERT members through better library cooperation and innovation.

Our Vision is to achieve this through providing high quality collaborative agreements that deliver excellent value and also through providing professional procurement support, advice and guidance for CONCERT members. We also bring multiple perspectives together to elevate our ability to deliver outstanding services, programs, and collections.

Our Work

CONCERT exists to serve its members in a variety of ways. It develops and implements activities such as price negotiation, contracts review, continuing education and consulting services. In addition, CONCERT conducts user meetings, training courses and conferences each year to meet the diverse needs of all members.

CONCERT is a consortium of 200 members which 94% of them are universities and colleges.

CONCERT members benefit greatly by CONCERT services such as price negotiation, contracts review, continuing education and consulting services. On the other hand, CONCERT members are under an obligation to assist price and contract negotiation and to ensure the confidentiality.

 

 

How to become CONCERT-Licensed E-Resources ​?

CONCERT conducts annual survey of new licensed e-resources every January. The procedure is as below :

*STEP 1-1 and 1-2 are taken simultaneously.
** In principle, the resources which receive 5 or more requests will be on the shortlist.
